Vision Lands is the name given to a 1500-acre parcel of land situated in the center of the City of Moncton. In 2005, the City of Moncton adopted the “Development Vision” for this 1500-acre parcel of land known as the “Lands North of Wheeler Blvd.” The concept that was adopted by City Council is to create sustainable communities, in other words smart-growth communities that address economic, social and environmental issues.
Halls Creek Villages, the first development in the Vision Lands was officiallly launched in October 2010. Soon after, Leopold Belliveau drive was extended to get ready for Spring 2011 construction.
